The Senators have re-signed goaltender Mike Brodeur to a one-year contract.
Brodeur, 27, spent the majority of the 2009-10 season with Ottawa's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. In 36 games in Binghamton, Brodeur went 13-13-2 with a 3.06 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage.
Brodeur was recalled to Ottawa on two occasions, posting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .966 save percentage.
Following his first recall on Nov. 24, Brodeur made his National Hockey League debut on Dec. 19, stopping 22 of 23 shots to earn his first career victory in Ottawa's 4-1 defeat of the Minnesota Wild. He returned to Ottawa's line-up on Jan. 14 to replace the injured Pascal Leclaire.
He made 32 saves in the Senators' 2-0 victory over the Rangers in New York on Jan. 14 to start the club's 11-game winning streak. Brodeur then earned a 4-2 win over the Canadiens in Montreal on Jan. 16, making 30 saves.
