Global goalie pool - Rules & Regulations

The Global Goalie Pool (GGP) is a way for one to test one's own prognostication skills when it comes to selecting the scores and related statistics of various games. One week's contest may have more or fewer games than another. The GGP is provided solely for entertainment purposes or as a pastime. The GGP is not sanctioned by or affiliated with the NHL.

Eligibility Rules

1. To enter the Global Goalie Pool, you must first register to become a goalies.com member. There is no fee to register or play.
2. This contest is open only to legal residents of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. VOID IN QUEBEC AND FLORIDA and in other jurisdictions where prohibited by law or licensing is required. Participants must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible to play.
3. Global Goalie Pool contestants may enter at any time during the selection period noted for each game. Contestants will be eligible for weekly, monthly and Grand Prizes. (Please see the complete list of prizes below.) A new contestant can submit an entry at any time during the selection period and become eligible for Grand, monthly and weekly prizes. All new contestants will begin to accumulate points for all games played beginning on the next weekly segment (Monday at 6:00 p.m. EST). If the entry is received after 6:00 p.m. EST on or after a Monday, the new contestant will not begin to accumulate points until commencement of the schedule on the following Monday. Points WILL NOT be awarded retroactive to the beginning of a week or month. Eg., if you entered a contest on Wednesday, November 7, 2001, points would be awarded as of Monday, November 12, 2001, NOT as of Monday, November 5, 2001.
4. The odds of winning are increased by early entry and participation, and depend upon the number and timing of entries. The Contest begins with the start of the regular hockey season and ends at the conclusion of the regular hockey season.
5. The standings to determine winners for the Grand Prize, first monthly contest and the first weekly contest will commence on the start date of a given contest.
6. Weekly segments run for a seven-day period from Monday to Sunday inclusive. To be eligible for a weekly prize, a new contestant must submit an entry prior to 12:00 a.m. (PST) on Monday.
7. IMPORTANT: Contestants will be allowed one entry per person per game. Any additional entries submitted by the same contestant at a later time or date will nullify all their entries. A contestant who submits more than one entry will not be eligible for prizes.
8. Contest void where prohibited by law. Contest open to anyone except: employees of goalies.com/The Goalie Company Inc. and its affiliated companies, partners and immediate families. If you reside in the Province of Quebec or State of Florida, or outside the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico or an eligible jurisdiction, you may play the game for enjoyment purposes and have your place noted in the standings; however, you will not be eligible to win a prize. This game is void where prohibited by law.
9. Any potential winner, no matter where they reside, must first correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone at a mutually convenient time. If any potential winner is unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question then he/she forfeits the prize and the skill-testing question will be administered to the applicable runner-up.
