Jul 24th 2010 - Pavelec inks 2-year pact with Thrashers
The Thrashers signed goaltender Ondrej Pavelec to a two-year contract worth $2.3 million Thursday.
The deal will pay Pavelec $1 million this season and $1.3 million in 2011-12.
Pavelec, 22, completed his first full NHL season with the Thrashers. He entered the offseason as a restricted free agent and received a qualifying offer in June.
An English translation from the Czech website idens.cz quoted Pavelec on Thursday as saying: “This corresponds to my performance. I’m quite happy it turned out according to my expectations.”

Backup goaltender Josh Harding reached an agreement with the Minnesota Wild on a one-year contract, the club announced on Wednesday.
Harding debuted with the Wild in 2006 and has been the regular backup to Niklas Backstrom the past three seasons.
The Regina native has four shutouts, a 2.66 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage in 83 career appearances with Minnesota but is looking to bounce back after a 2009-10 campaign that was not as impressive as his previous two seasons.
